How to use my own map service as a base maps and display them according to different scales

Hi, 

I am a newbie in web, I recently published a series of maps of different scales using ArcGIS server, now I wanna to make a 

web application to show these maps according to the scale of each map. For example, when I zoom in to 1:20000, the map of 1:20000 will show up and other maps will disappear. Is any one can give me some hint on this, thanks a lot.

You are set the minScale and maxScale for the layers while adding it to the map.
