How can I rotate photos when bringing them into a story map. They are portrait files in the folder on my desktop, however when I upload them they automatically rotate to landscape orientation. I have searched online and nobody seems to have any answers. I would say this is a big limitation with story maps

Hi Cara,

I'm sorry you are having an issue with the orientation of your photos. The story maps apps should display the photo with the orientation as it is stored in the photo's EXIF data.

Which story map app are you using, and what app are you using to view the photos on your desktop? It's possible the app you are using is storing orientation information on it's own and not in the EXIF. If you open the images in another image processing app do they display correctly? You could try changing the orientation to landscape and then back to portrait and then uploading them to your story to see if that forces the information to be stored in the images' EXIF.
