Hi Carl. We have no plans to bring all the XLSForm functionality available in Survey123 Connect into the Web. The purpose of our survey design experience on the web is to provide a quick entry point into building smart forms and Survey1223. We will add more features to the web design experience, but always keeping in mind that we want to keep things simple. Survey123 Connect for ArcGIS will also continue evolving focusing on providing the most sophisticated smart form features (multi-language support, expressions, advanced question types and constructs like groups and repeats, integration with existing feature services, mapping of geodatabase fields to XLSForm types etc).
We are looking into enabling the use of surveys authored in Connect from a web browser (to submit data). We want to share a preview of this before the end of the year. As you know, surveys authored in Connect cannot be used in the web, but we want to resolve that problem. Similarly, surveys authored in Connect cannot be updated in the web designer, although surveys authored in the web can be downloaded and updated in Connect. We have no plans to allow the web designer to update surveys authored in Connect.
