Is there any way to make the side panel of a swipe story map visible on a mobile device?

Sorry about this limitation of the Story Map Swipe/Spyglass app. We have this enhancement logged as something we need to implement, and we've made a note that it came up in your Geonet post.

Do you know when this enhancement will be implemented?

I need to use a swipe map for a project, but as it stands it's not usable which is causing me serious issues.  I really don't want to reinvent the wheel.
