I've downloaded calcium and magnesium contents dataset from this collection of geostatistical dataset and I would like to do some analysis with the Geostatistical Analyst in ArcGIS for Desktop. The problem is that there is no definition of the reference system of the coordinates of the data.

There are only two columns called 'east' and 'north' and in the documentation it just reads "east-west (north-south) coordinates, in meters". I also know that data should represent samples taken North of Rio De Janeiro, beside the Rio Paraíba do Sul (Campos dos Goytacazes) (reference).

Coordinates look like (first lines shown below):

east   north5710    48295727    48755745    49225764    49695781    50155799    50625817    51095837    51615873    5254
