Defining "no data" with JPEG 2000s

All,

when creating a mosaic data set with jpeg 2000s i've noticed that the lossy format of jpeg2000 isnt the best at true black. ive noticed that the areas of no data are actually not true black, so its not as easy as just defining "no data" as (0,0,0).

has anyone else had to deal with this issue, and have you found a good work around in getting ride of the no data areas at the edge of each mosaic?

thanks

dave
