I am using arcGIS 10.4.1 for desktop, and I need assistant with just focusing on an AOI, and hiding the rest of the map. I attach the file I am currently using to better assist me. Thank you in advance
Post an image/screen grab for those that don't happen to be handy to a machine with Arcmap... but I suspect you want to clip the data frame Clipping the Data Frame—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop
And in case you are working with raster data and want to limit the results to a shape (polygon) you can use: Mask (Environment setting)—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop

1 Using spatial bookmarks—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop
2 go to the Create a bookmark section follow the instructions.
3 when you want to return to the AOI, then you can go back to the bookmark
Or if that isn't good
1 Setting a custom full extent for your data frame—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop
2 Then you can use the zoom to full extent button to always return to the AOI that you want to focus on
