I just installed ArcGIS Pro 1.2. This is my first time trying to use it, and I am trying to connect to our enterprise gdb which is on sql 2008 and we are running 10.3.1.... But when I attempt to do that, I get the following error.. "Connection was attempted with an older version of SQL Server client communications software that is not supported." How do I fix this so I can start using Pro
from here ArcGIS Pro 1.2 system requirements—ArcGIS Pro | ArcGIS for Desktop are the basic requirements, then I am not sure what sql server you are referring to, but there are some listings
Supported database management systems—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop for instance
Microsoft SQL Server database requirements for ArcGIS Pro 1.2—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop
etcetera
So Basically what i read is that pro supports sql 2012 and up. Thanks for your help.
If it is this one Microsoft SQL Server database requirements for ArcGIS Pro 1.2—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop
but desktop supports lower/older versions
but there is patch section Oracle database requirements for ArcGIS Pro 1.2—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop
and it is the only section that mentions contacting esri
see Oracle database requirements for ArcGIS Pro 1.2—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop
Did you install the SQL Server 2008 Native client?
