We're looking for a GIS solution that allows us to use existing parcel/land use based information to calculate water demands per parcel. Currently we have all of the necessary information housed in our GIS for land use, billing data records, etc., but only have a couple options: do a one-time static calculation in GIS by multiplying a land-use based demand factor times the parcel information within the attribute table, or extract the parcel information to Excel and perform the calculations there. We'd like to be able to have a more flexible solution reside within GIS itself if possible.
I've searched but couldn't find a tool that would allow us to apply demand factors that are stored in GIS in a more update-able/trackable format. Does such a tool exist?
Thanks for any thoughts.
