Hi there - I am working on a comprehensive plan for Laurel, Delaware. Using data for Laurel Town from both the 2010-2014 American Community Survey and Community Analyst/Tapestry.
The racial breakdowns and Tapestry Segments do not match at all between Community Analyst and the Census site.
CA says the town is 59.49% white and 29.61% black and that the dominant Tapestry segments are Heartland Communities (49%) and Rustbelt Traditions (34%) - both white ethnically.
The ACS says the town is 42.5 percent white and 42.6 percent black. Which means the dominant Tapestry segments should be something else.
Since as a sole proprietor I am paying a lot for Community Analyst, I was wondering where the pretty serious discrepancy could come from.
