share as Service Vs. share as Map package

Hello, I have been using the share as service to publish single layer on GIS online.

Now I have a whole mxd file with few gdb. can I share it as Package?

What should I be do to make this successful?

You can share your data as a map package (in ArcMap: File >Share As> Map Package).

This map package will include a copy of your .mxd , all the layers in your Table Of Contents (& their symbology properties), & copies of the layers' source data  in a single file geodatabase.

The map package cannot be viewed in ArcGIS Online, it can merely be shared/stored there. Other users can download it and use it in ArcGIS for Desktop
