Why is it that after a simple supervised classification, there are 'count' values in the layer properties window?

I performed a very simple supervised classification on a satellite image within ArcMap 10.3.  The satellite image was a Landsat 4-5 image from 2011. I utilized training samples and cremated 5 classes.  The visual display of the classification was successful.  Afterwards, I wanted to look at the 'Count' field to determine how many pixels are within each of the classes I created. Only question marks appear under 'Count' column in the layer properties window.  Within the attribute table there is no 'Count' field.  Any help for this basic user would be greatly appreciated!

you might also want to provide the image type and the tools you used so people can provide intelligent commentary.  It might be as simple as the wrong inputs.

Previous posts for the question mark issue suggest running the ' Build Raster Attribute table' tool to update the count field. Hope it works!
