Greetings all,
I am working on a webmap and would like to use a custom graphic JPG for the icon, rather than a available options. I have run into this issue before, as the add image dialog box asks for a URL rather than uploading from my computer. Additionally, I would like to use photos from my computer for some more expressive pop-ups but that requires the same URL.
Is there an esri help topic that explains the work flow to add these photos. I have read that photos can be imported from Flickr or Facebook but I do not see a raw file format ending in JPG as the dialog box suggests.
Thanks,
Chris
Solved! Go to Solution.
You will need to use web-hosted photos in order to have them displayed on your web-map. You can do this by adding the photos to your ArcGIS Online account:
Using photos stored in ArcGIS Online | ArcGIS Blog
Or other sites, like Flickr (like you mentioned):
Add Flickr photos to ArcGIS Online web maps | ArcGIS Blog
If you're wondering where to get the link that has .jpg in it, the article above explains how to get that.
On the side, here is an article about adding geotagged photos to your map:
