Printing Maps in JS API - ArcGIS.com

Just wondering what the best solution is for printing when using the JS API. I've seen a few options:

What about the code for the Print button on the arcgis.com map application. Would ESRI be willing to share?

ESRI should provide that print functionality with the API Reference - i can not beleive that anyone could release a map api without basic functionality like print ...

I have been told that a native print service will come at 10.1.
