Story map layers not showing in view mode

How about providing a bit more info?

For example which of the story map apps are you using? Story Map Tour, Story Map Journal, etc. See the list here if you are not sure of the name:

Also assuming this is a story map that can be shared publicly (i.e not one just for use inside an enterprise), can you post a link to your story too, and to the web map you are having a problem with.

Thank you for your help.

I'm using the Map Journal app.

I'm just now teaching myself the technology. I've created only a very

simple 3 section demo, simply to play w/the technology & teach myself what

it can do. I'll make it public & share it with you so that you can see

where I'm having an issue -- but don't expect my story to make sense. I'm

just throwing images & videos at it that I happen to have handy. Here it

is...

Again, it's a simple 3 section (4 counting "home") test story where I've

named the sections Page 1, Page 2 & Page 3. On Page 2, I've experimented

with adding layers. My base map is "Imagery with Labels". To this I've

added two layers -- a "USA Topo Map" and a "World Street Map". I did not

hide either layer from the legend and I selected both in the content

configuration field of the main stage area. The layers are there in edit

mode. However, when I attempt to "View Live" this Story Map and navigate to

Page 2, the different layers are not selectable in the legend. Also, my base

map, "Images with Labels" does not get displayed, nor is it selectable in

the legend.

How can I get my base map, "Images with Labels" to be the default display

in the main stage area, while getting both additional layers to appear in

the legend and also be able to switch between them, changing which map is

displayed in the main stage area?

Never mind on this one. I just realized that this app simply won't do what I thought it would do (allow the viewer of the story mp to select between layers using the legend). It appears I need to use a different app for that.
