I am trying to find a data layer for crown lands of Canada, but am having no luck. Does anyone know of its existence?
There are hits on a provincial level...
Crown Land in Nova Scotia | novascotia.ca
Are you looking only for federal land? GeoGratis would be your best bet, I thought, although the server appears to be down...
the back door link works Free Data - GeoGratis | Natural Resources Canada but it is slow
That takes me to the landing page, but can't get any of the useful pages to load (e.g. the Geospatial Data Extraction).
Yup...down...I'll pop over the Canal and have a look-see
Are you going over there to kick the server to get it to restart?
It does appear to be stuck at the moment.

Thanks Dan it worked for me. This is great to see.
Thanks for the answers. Sadly, it seems the unified map does not yet exist ... strange. Looks like I hae my work cut out for me.
back to the provincial links... but don't forget some of the crown lands get buried in government department documentation
Steve, You might want to change thread to a discussion since there is no obvious solution to your problem in the interim. It would be useful if you could provide your solution when you are done since we probably missed some obvious data sources.
There are several sources.
GeoGratis is weak data and old. - get what you pay for.
IHS - Canada coverage.
For Manitoba and west - GeoLogic
AltaLIS - Alberta
