What are the requirements of displaying local tile package (.tpk) on SceneView?

I’m using ArcGIS Runtime SDK 10.2.6 for .NET, and I’m trying to display my local tile package (.tpk) on SceneView class. I run several tests and got the following results:
- Web Mercator projection with ArcGIS Online tile schema: displayed
- Web Mercator projection with custom tile schema: not displayed
- WGS 1984 projection with custom tile schema: not displayed
*all of the tpks can be displayed on MapView class(2D).
Is it required to make tpk projection to be Web Mercator and use AGO tile schema in order to display the local cache on SceceView?
