has anyone tried to create multiple organizations under one portal?
In the REST API document ArcGIS REST API , under the concept part, it clearly says:
A portal can contain multiple organizations.
A user of the portal (and of the REST API) sees the view of the portal that applies to their organization. This view includes the users, groups, and items that belong to the organization and have been shared with the accessing user. This view can also include users, groups, and items that are external to the organization and have been shared with the accessing user.
But I can't find any official instructions about how to do it. is it a supported or suggested configuration that the whole government should use ? for instance, one portal with multiple departments with their own view of it?
maybe Derek Law can share some knowledge on this
