Greenland Map Projection for ArcMap

Hi there,

I'm very new to Arc, and indeed GIS in general, so I apologise if I am asking stupid questions.

I'm working with MODIS imagery, MOD09GQ to be exact, of north east Greenland. I'm hoping to map the extent and evolution of supraglacial lakes in the area. My question is, as I am trying to reproject the images using the MODIS Reprojection Tool, what projection would be best? I've read that Lambert Azimuthal and Albers Equal Area would be best for a large area like mine, but in ArcMap, there appears to be no exact match for either when setting the coordinate system. There is a North Pole Lambert Azimuthal Equal Area projection - would this work? I assume that UTM would be unsuitable as the area I am working on would cover multiple UTM zones.

Thanks for any help,

Rebecca
