I've created a tile layer on my ArcGIS online account. By default it is styled with a black outline and blue fill. I want to change it so it has no fill with a yellow outline, but I do not see an option to modify the style of a Tile Layer like I can a regular layer. Is it possible to do this?

I've attached a screenshot of what I am looking at. I can view the style legend, but cannot change the style.

Thanks.

James,

You cannot change the style for a tile layer (a tile layer by definition is a set of predefined images)...assuming you created the tile layer directly in ArcGIS Online you will need to do the following:

  • Add the original feature layer used to create the tile layer to the web map
  • Modify the style of the feature layer
  • Click the More options next to the layer name in the web map Contents section and choose Save layer
  • Return to the item details page for the feature layer and Publish

If you originally published the tile layer from ArcMap return to your MXD, change the style and re-publish to ArcGIS Online as a tile layer.
