Hello all

I am trying to use sderaster –o copy in ArcSDE 10.1 (windows, oracle11g) to copy raster from one schema to another.

I use the syntax sderaster –o copy –l new_raster,raster –g –u xx –p pp "-l old_raster,taster –v 1 –u yy –p pp2"

By the docs giving the –g should register the raster into geodatabase.

After the raster is copied it looks like a table in ArcCatalog.

When I register it in the geodatabase (using ArcCatalog) I get raster catalog and not raster dataset.

By the docs this is what should happen if I DO NOT gives the –g option.

Is there any other way to copy the raster without rebuilding the pyramids (takes a long time).

Is there any work around for sderaster –o copy?

Thanks

Mody
