Windows AD Account Locks Up after Many Connections to Oracle

Is anyone else having issues with their Windows AD accounts locking up after spending a lot of time connecting to Oracle databases using 'Windows Authentication' in ArcCatalog? Here's our issue:

Shortly after changing a users' Windows password due to security policies, we've noticed that after several successful connections to Oracle using 'Windows Authentication' the user's account will be locked and IT has to unlock the account. It only started occurring after the user was required to change their Windows password. It's almost like ArcDesktop/ArcCatalog is retaining the old password somewhere in its code. We only use SQL Queries to add our non-SDE Oracle data to ArcDesktop and eventually will publish REST services based on those connections.

We're running ArcGIS Desktop 10.3 and ArcGIS Server 10.3. We have some tables in Oracle registered with SDE 10.2.2 but not the whole database instance.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!
