I’ve used a ‘Tinamba_Pipeline_Boundary’ layer to crop a land
parcel layer creating ‘Southern_Tinamba_Property’. The latter layer was
expected to have a total area less than the boundary layer. It was more.

I used 'calculate geometry' followed by 'statistics' to get
the sum of 'Tinamba_Pipeline_Boundary' layer 63356600 sqm. Similarly for the
'Southern_Tinamba_Property' 66126030 sqm. The latter doesn't include roads etc.
Why did the area come out greater?
