Hello everyone,

How can I export the attribute table of a number of shapefiles to dbf and mdb without renaming the FID field name to OID. And how can I perform this task in batch mode? Can anyone help me?

Shapefiles start in dBase (.dbf) format, so there's no need to export at all.

The FID column in shapefiles is not real.  Even if you do create a table with a "FID" column, it will be renamed because that identifier is reserved.  I'm not an expert in the Access implementation, but I assume the OID is much the same.

Since you cannot control the naming (or sequencing) of FID or OID, I recommend you ignore their existance, and only use key columns that you have created.
