Slow mouse wheel zoom?

Hello,

I have been developing using openlayers for a while and I am very interested in the ArcGIS javascript API.  I have noticed that the mouse wheel zoom in / zoom out seems very slow in this API as compared to openlayers, google, bing, etc.  It seems like there is a delay somewhere.  Is there a setting for this or is this just a limitation of the API right now.
