Does ArcGIS online currently have the Clip to Shape functionality?  I would like to clip a Point feature service to a boundary and not have to publish a new service.  Any help on this would be appreciated.

Thanks

Dan

Hi Daniel, I don't think ArcGIS Online has Clip to Shape tools out of the box. You can find a complete list of the analysis tools here. Or within a web map, if you right click on the feature and select Perform Analysis (screen shot below) you can find a list of analysis tools available for that feature type (point, line, poly). Be aware that performing analysis while on ArcGIS Online utilizes credits. A secondary workflow would be to publish the Clip to Shape tool as a geoprocessing service on your ArcGIS Server, then bring that into to ArcGIS Online as a geoprocessing widget in a Web App. It's a much more lengthy process than I am making it sound but you can bring any ArcCatalog Tools into ArcGIS Online and run them without credit usage. Hope this is helpful and good luck!

Can those spatial analyses be customized to a widget for the web appbuilder?

Hi, did you get this resolved?

I looked into an example:

Clip and ship | ArcGIS API for JavaScript

But was told that the Extract GP Service no longer exists on the sample server,

I hope it can be resolved and helps.
