Arcpy 10: geographicTransformation error

Greetings,

I'm having no success in getting 'ListDataFrames function> DataFrame object > geographicTransformation property' to return a value.  Other properties work fine (mapUnits, spatialReference, etc. . .).  The input MXD has a single data frame set to NAD27 and single dataset, ESRI 'States.shp' set to NAD83.  The transformation is set to NADCON - dataset=conus (default method).

maps = arcpy.mapping.MapDocument(MyMapDocs)
            df = arcpy.mapping.ListDataFrames(maps, "*")
            for d in df:
                print d.geographicTransformation.name, d.spatialReference.name, d.mapUnits.name

ERROR:

Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "C:\Workspace\Python\scratch.py", line 13, in <module>
    print d.geographicTransformation.name
AttributeError: 'DataFrame' object has no attribute 'geographicTransformation'

Has anyone experience a similar issue?
