Random question....I am working with ArcGIS Pro and I know that all the maps/ scene and layout views I have on display are saved within a project (.aprx file). So what if I want to open an individual map that I have saved in a project, is there a way I can find it within my desktop? or is it only saved as part of a project and the only way I am gonna be able to see it is if I open the project that contains the map I am looking for.

thanks!

Maps and layouts are saved as part of the project (.aprx).  Other than sharing maps as a Web Map on ArcGIS Online, they're stored in the project.  Much like many Data Frames being stored in the *.mxd of ArcMap.
