High availability of Arcgis server and Portal

1. I have F5 hardware NLB and two ARCGIS server license ( we can increase if needed)
2. We are using Virtual Environment so we can add machines as much as needed
3. We want to host both secure and open map services
4. We will deploy our secure and open for publication in same setup
5. We want to use high availability of Arcgis server and Portal

Questions

1. Please help with deployment arcitecture

2. Where we have to install SSL certficates ( NLB, Web adapter etc)

Now please suggest please note we have enterprise custom application

- While Federating which URL should we use after “Click Add Server button” needs below information

-All communications between Portal and ArcGIS server will be through Load balancer

-Do we need all enterprise users to login first into the portal then they can access the custom application

-In a case when secure services are directly accessed at Https://www.xyz.com/arcgis/rest from application like (Custom enterprise application, Smart phone application). My question is how will be they authenticated
