Using AGO for Data Collection

Greetings everyone!

I am getting ready for curriculum development this summer and plan to have my writers take advantage of the data collection capabilities in AGO.  My focus is on schoolyard and/or offsite data collection.  So far, I have come up with two use cases for data collection.  First, a single day event where the data collected is strictly used by one class to analyze data for that particular event.  Second, long term data collection that is continuously updated and used by students in many schools.  I'm sure there is a hybrid model as well.  However, what I am looking for are examples currently in use.   I looked over the stuff Kathryn put together for JMU.  However, I would really like to see some examples in use at the elementary level (grades 3-5).  I would also appreciate ideas anyone has for data collection.  Stuff you may have dreamed about, but not had time to build.  Think outdoor education opportunities- earth and life science in particular.

Many thanks.
