I've got the prerelease installed (build 4284) and can't seem to install the official release without getting an error that says the software is already installed. I'm wondering if they are in fact the same thing.
Personally, I would recommend uninstalling any beta or pre-release before installing final, especially if you get any errors like that. But you probably already figured that out.
