I have Mosaic Datasets within our SDE database.
But I'm trying to figure out the original tile locations when they were imported.
Where do I find this information? Thanks..
turns out there's a tool for it
Right-click on the mosaic dataset in the catalog window > Modify > Repair. This will open a dialog listing the paths of the raster datasets and overviews.
Thanks for the reply.
I'm running ArcCatalog 10.0 and I'm connecting to the dataset as GISOwner. So when I right-click on the mosaic dataset there is just Repair and not a Modify option.
But when I click on repair, the Repair Mosaic Dataset box opens, but in the old path/new path entries there is nothing in the listing that appears.
Try the following:
Open the attribute table of the mosaic dataset. Navigate to a raster dataset (not an overview) and click the record in the Raster field. A little grey arrow should appear. Click on this, and then click the Functions tab > right-click on the image name under the function chain > Properties. The path will be listed there:
Jake, do you know how one would add this Folder info as column in the attribute table for each raster, or possibly just output a list to a text file?
have info the latter may be best if you want to code
