Hello,

I want to use the Shorlist template with many tabs and I want to know if it's possible to use different colored symbols for a same tab?

Thanks a lot for your help.

Sylvain

Hi, yes it is. For example, see
: http://bcc.marioncountyfl.org/gisproduction/shortlist/

We've put a set of additional numbered marker symbols in different colors here:

See this blog post:

Hi,

Thanks for your answer Ruppert.

In fact, I want different colors for my symbols inside one tab but in your exemple we can see one color for each tab.

Perhaps it's not possible to do it?

I've not seen that done before. You could code it of course cos we provide all the source code. I would actually not recommend it though from a UI point of view.

Hi Sylvain,

if I understand you correctly, it should be possible: In your "marker" folder, you have all the symbols used. Let´s say you tell the programm to use red symbols for the first tab. So the programm will start with icon_red_1, icon_red_2, etc.

However, the app won´t care if icon_red_2 has really red color, so you can design any icon - lte´s say an orange one, save it as "icon_red_2" in the marker folder, and it should be shown in the map as you wish.

Rupert, I think what Sylvain wants to do can be useful sometimes - maybe for some kind of subclassification. Never tried it, but I can image themes where it could work ...

cheers,

Flo
