I wanted to add a service to ArcPad but it appears that it accepts the �??ArcGIS Server ArcPad Service�?�. How this sort of services are created?

Do I need �??ArcPad Extension for ArcGIS Server�?� just to let the ArcPad reads the services published by the ArcGIS Server?

Is there other way to let the ArcPad access\edit services published by ArcGIS Server?

Please, have a look on the document below. It says that �??feature services�?� don�??t require any extension to be edited in ArcPad.
