Error: ??the server is not ready for publishing?,

I??m confronting a frustrating problem as I frequently got the error message below (the server is not ready for publishing):

,

knowing that the ??arcgis server? service is started:

Then what might be the problem? My ArcGIS Server (standard/enterprise) is legally licensed.

thank you for the help,

Best

You need to start PublishingTools geoprocessing service from ArcGIS Server Manager page.

Refer the following help page about how to do it:

sounds this issue is similar to the error: "bad syntax in request"

So you receive the error "Bad Syntax" when trying to cache your service?  What happens if you use the Manage Map Server Cache Tiles tool under Server Tools > Caching?  Also, can you change the logging level for the server to verbose under Logs > Settings > Log Level?  It'd be beneficial to get a better error message other than bad syntax.

Thank you Jonathan for the answer.

I got that message as I was trying to re-connect to the ??services? connections

As I got that error, I couldn??t know that it refers to ??CashingTool? as the error message is not indicative! After getting a help from Mr. Tristanto, then I started the ??CashingTool? and it worked perfectly.

I couldn??t know how to search for this particular error in the log! So many

I'm still getting this message even after restarting and confirming that my PublishingTools service is running. Any other ideas?

Hi...
This error appear also in case of lost of permissions when is set a sharing on Disk unit that contain arcgisserver folder...
"Arcgis" local user must have write permission on ArcGIS Server site directory...

I hope it was helpful...
