I have a map I am working on.  View-able at: http://www.arcgis.com/home/webmap/viewer.html?webmap=c0bcad5921d54e6ab5f2d212fc42dd7e

Currently, when using the address search tool, the city name has to be included in order to search for specific addresses in my map.  I am looking for a way to manipulate this tool to limit it's search within my city without users having enter anything more than just the street address.  Maybe there is a way to set a default city.  Or maybe there is a way to geographically limit the search.

Any ideas and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Had the same question myself and it was answered for me here:

Basically to configure a custom geocoding task you need to host the app on your server.

I am looking to do this too.  However, I want to use esri's geocoding service, not my own custom one.  Can I still use theirs but make it search only within a geographic boundary?

Also, when I type in an address in the search box, I get multiple results of the same address. I see that some are different (like with the street direction or city), but there is always two of the same exact address. Why?
