Setting up site-specific coordinate systems

In our organization's deployment package we in the past have created a "USGS Favorites" folder that we drop into the install folder (Desktop10.0\Coordinate Systems". This has been really handy because in the 9.x and 10.0 dialog users see this:

Of course this has all been changed at 10.1, and our USGS Favorites don't show up anymore!

1. Is there some similar functionality we could use to set up preferred coordinate systems so each user wouldn't have to navigate (or search) the whole tree?

2. Is there a way to have our preferred coordinate systems "pre-installed" with site-specific CS's like we can with addins and map templates -- so our custom coordinate systems (like the National Atlas Albers) could be ready-to-go for our users without them having to define them?
