info template issues

Hello, I'm defining an infotemplate as
newMemberTemplate = new esri.InfoTemplate();
         newMemberTemplate.setTitle("<b>New User Information</b>");
         newMemberTemplate.setContent(getTextContent);

applying it like
var deferred = censustract.selectFeatures(query,esri.layers.FeatureLayer.SELECTION_NEW);

      censustract.setInfoTemplate(newMemberTemplate);
              map.infoWindow.setFeatures([deferred]);
              map.infoWindow.show(pointMeters);

where getTextContent returns:
var newEntry = new com.urs.greenteam.widgets.testWidget({id:"entryScreen"});
  return newEntry.domNode;

My issues are:
1. the infowindow title is blank
2. the infowindow does not seem to respect data-dojo-* syntax so I have to use dojoType = and explicitly set my attributes
3. for dojo.form.TextBox the placeHolder text is not honored in IE

HTML for com.urs.greenteam.widgets.testWidget:
<input id="search"  name="search" value="" dojoType="dijit.form.ValidationTextBox" data-dojo-props="trim:true, propercase:true, style:'width: 20em;', placeHolder:'Parcel ID, Address, Lat & Long, Zip Code'"/>
  <input type="text" name="employeeName" size="30" placeHolder = "Enter Your Name" required="true" dojoType="dijit.form.ValidationTextBox" trim="true" id="employeeName" propercase="true">
  <input type="text" name="firstname" value="" data-dojo-type="dijit.form.TextBox" data-dojo-props="trim:true, propercase:true, placeHolder:Parcel ID, Address, Lat & Long, Zip Code" id="firstname"><br>
  <div dojoType="dijit.layout.ContentPane">
     <input id="searchAddress"  data-dojo-attach-point="_searchAddress" name="searchAddress" value="" dojoType="dijit.form.TextBox" trim="true" propercase="true" selectOnClick="true" size="30" placeHolder="Address" />
  </div>
Any help would be gladly appreciated
