When I use Firefox to browse to my development server (http://xxx.xx.xxx.xxx:6080/arcgis/rest/services/)  I get Error  SSL Required   Code: 403.  If I use the IP address and reference the service (http:// xxx.xx.xxx.xxx:6080/arcgis/rest/services/WebDemo12/MapServer), it displays normally on the server.  Javascript calls to the service infrequently work.  I think I started to secure the services using ArcGIS Server Manger-Security-Settings.  However, I cancelled out before finishing.  When I look at Users and Roles, both are empty.  No access rules are in place for the services.  How do I remove security?  I guess I can always reinstall the software, however I would rather learn from my errors.  Previously the services were working without security.

Also, is it possible to change the password of the manager?  Is there an easy way or do I need to re-run the Configure ArcGIS Server Account?

Thanks!!

I finally found the magic box.  To the right of the Site(root) box is a lock and a pen.  Click on the pen to edit the folder.  In the pop up window unclick "Require Encrypted Web Access".  I will have to figure out how to apply encryption to just an individual service.  Hopefully that is possible.
