Back interpolating values from grid to database

Good day.  I have used the IDW tool to create a grid from a select set of points.  For this example lets say I have 1,000 points and I used 500 of them to create the grid, and the other 500 have a null value for my Z.

Now I would like to take the values the grid calculated, and write them back to the 500 points that have null values.

I have been searching help files on this, but I suppose I don't know the correct terminology to search for to accomplish this.  Any assistance or pointing me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

The toolbox tool you are looking for is called Add Surface Information in the 3D Analyst Tools.
This tool will populate your selected (Null Value) points with the raster value at each point.
