I thought I'd post my issues since I'm seeing people having similar issues but independently.
1.) AGE opens but the viewing area is blank (in my case it shows my desktop background picture).
2.) When AGE is open, I can't change the basemap at all. When I open the dialogue box, thats as far as I get before AGE becomes unresponsive.
3.) When AGE is open, if I try to add a layer file or shapefile, I get "layer file is invalid" and the shapefile acts like its loading but nothing happens. AGE is unresponsive at that point.
With all that said, I'm running AGE on a MacBook Pro with Win 7 Professional (64bit) on a partitioned hard drive. My video driver is up to date (Nvidia GeForce 9600 GT) and I have plenty of RAM and HD space. I've downloaded .net 3.5 w/ sp1 and upgraded that to .net 4. I've also loaded MSXML 4.0 sp2.
I'm really befuddled by my little dilema. I'm a daily user of ESRI products at the office so I don't consider myself a newbie by any means but this has me scratching my bald little head! Someone shed some light on this for me, please.
