After upgrade from ArcSDE 9.3.1 Oracle 11G to ArcSDE 10 Oracle 11G we encountered a reported bug NIM06359. Coded Value domains missing description causes ArcCatalog and ArcMap to crasch.
We cannot delete the domains in ArcCatalog because it crashes when trying to display database properties->domains.
We find the corrupt domains in GDB_ITEMS, and related rows in GDB_ITEMRELATIONSHIPS and SDE_XML_DOC1 (definition). Some domains have a null value in GDB_ITEMS.DEFINITION which must be an error?
Is there a possibility to delete the corrupted domains using sql?
What is the role of the tables named DR$XMLDOCIX2_TX$R etc? Are they to be taken into account if deleting rows in GDB_ITEMS?
We have an Esri Incident #912234, but have not really got through yet, so any help or instructions would be appreciated.
