No human-readable coded values in AGOL service?

Hello!  I have a feature class with several related tables. I publish them as a service. Clicking one of the service's features with the Identify tool in ArcGIS Desktop reveals the human-readable values for the coded domain. Clicking the same feature in the service published to AGOL reveals only the numeric code--no human readable.

Same data, same server, same service--different behaviors in Desktop and AGOL.  Is this a bug or a known AGOL limitation, or a toggle-able adjustment I haven't found?

Thanks!RelatedTablesNoHumanReadable.png

Esri says this is expected behavior. The popup will show the related tables' coded values.  If you do not want to see them, you must turn off that field in the popup configuration.  The related tables' human readables are only available by clicking Show Related Records in the popup; there is no one-click solution.
