Export to CAD label stacking
Has anyone solved this particular problem:
I am using ArcMap 10.1, my data is an assessors parcel lines shapefile, and my goal is to export to CAD.
I export the polygons fine. I use the Feature to Point tool and make a point shapefile. I add CADType and TxtValue fields and populate.
with a field calculation in the TxtValue : [OWNER_NAME] +vbnewline + [APN] +vbnewline + ACRES. I label my point file and it looks great. I export to MicroStation v8i and I get two asterics instead of a new line.
I am not a programmer, but I am hoping there is a small change that will give me the 3 line stack of labels I am looking for.
The newline character sequence in Microstation is "\010" if you add this to your text string you will get stacked text. ArcMap unfortunately will display the /010 but Microstation shouldn't.
