ArcGIS online error "Tile generation is not in progress or scheduled"

I am trying to publish a cached service through arcmap 10.1 to my arcgis online server, but after successful publication message, it is still not generating any cache. The message I am getting while viewing cache status is "Tile generation is not in progress or scheduled". Any idea how to fix this issue?

Hi Humza,

I would recommend creating the cache using ArcMap, create a tile package (TPK) from the cache, and then uploading the TPK file to ArcGIS.com.  ArcGIS.com will then extract the tiles from the TPK file.  This method will not use the 1 credit per thousand tiles generated.  So, you will not burn through your credits creating the cache.

Here are the steps:

1.  Create the cache using the Manage Tile Cache tool

2.  Export the cache to a TILE PACKAGE using the Export Tile Cache tool

3.  Upload the tile package to ArcGIS.com using the Share Package tool

4.  In ArcGIS.com, navigate to the tile package and click 'Publish' to begin creating the tiles
