Fail to convert effect to geometry!

Hi everyone,

I use the code example "AroundPointCls.cs" produced a cartographic effect (marker placement), but it's effect can not be convert to a geometry ,

but  markerPlacementAlongLine Class  can successfully convert 。 How can i  convert marker placement to geometry? need your help!! thanks!
