In creating an open Group "meetup" https://community.esri.com/groups/arcgis-for-desktop-installation-support I am hoping that ArcGIS Desktop users new to GeoNet will more directly find a ready resource to answer their installation and configuration issues. Efficient Search will of course be a necessity, but this open group should allow even the neophyte to pose a question and get the help they'll need.
I also hope it will allow others to filter out some of the noise, i.e. multiple postings and redundancy, that is generated while walking users through what can be difficult steps.
Guess we'll see where it all goes.
