Problem overwriting an existing Service online

Hi all,

I am trying to overwriting an existing service online.

I take the appropriate steps, but in the end I get the following error message:

[ATTACH=CONFIG]33968[/ATTACH]

"Packing succeeded, but publishing failed.
ERROR: code:400, Item does not exist in this folder., Bad syntax in request.
Please consult the GP Results Window for enhanced error description or contact your administrator for the server logs."

Any guidance you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

did you try it again. I get those sometimes. I just do the process over and generally it works then. Not for sure why but that seems to work for me. It's at least worth giving a try.

Hi Chris,

Could you provide the following information:

What version of ArcMap is the Feature Service being published from?

Is this service being published as a Hosted Feature Service or to ArcGIS for Server?

Is the service being updated located in the root folder?
