Consume WMS in Desktop 10.2

I cannot consume the following WMS in Desktop 10.2:
https://www.sciencebase.gov/catalogMaps/mapping/ows/526ef554e4b044919baf261c?

I can see the different layers and add it, but when I go to 'preview' in ArcCatalog, I get the attached error message. This same URL works fine in Desktop 10.1.

Anyone know why 10.2 cannot preview this WMS?

This issue seems to have resolved itself. It's working today even though it didn't yesterday via the same method.
