Point to Raster - Error 999999??

I am attempting to run the Point to Raster tool to no avail (see screenshot). I get Error 999999 each time, which is a less than helpful error. Anyone know what might be wrong here? Thanks in advance.

It looks like you are saving your output raster to a grid format, try to save your output raster as a TIFF or IMG (example raster_name.tif or rastername.img). Below is our online documentation on the naming convention required for the grid file format.

Esri grid format (Under Storage Limitations)

The name of a grid is limited as follows:

    It cannot be stored using spaces.
    It cannot start with a number.
    It cannot be longer than 13 characters (a multiband grid is allowed up to 9 characters).
